PM Pakistan Visit Doha For Arab Islamic Summit, 2025 updates

 Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will participate in an emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha on Monday in the wake of Israeli airstrikes in Qatar that killed at least six people earlier this week, the foreign office announced on Saturday.

Leaders from across the Middle East, South Asia and beyond gathered to discuss joint strategies on  regional peace and economic cooperation and global diplomatic alignment.

Israel targeted Hamas leaders on Tuesday in strikes on the Qatari capital, killing five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer. The attack drew widespread international condemnation, including from Gulf monarchies allied with the United States, Israel’s main backer.

​The Summit will be preceded by the preparatory meeting of the Foreign Ministers on 14 September 2025. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Da will participate in the preparatory session.

“Pakistan condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the illegal and unprovoked Israeli aggression against the brotherly State of Qatar,” Dar was quoted as saying.

The Foreign Minister also highlighted this Calling the attack “unwarranted, unjustified and appalling” 

Pakistan accords high importance to its relations with the State of Qatar and has strongly condemned Israeli aggression against Qatar and other regional states. In a gesture of solidarity and regional unity, the Prime Minister visited Doha on 11 September 2025 and met with Qatari leadership to express Pakistan’s unwavering support for the security and sovereignty of Qatar and its commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.

It added that Sharif’s visit underlines Pakistan’s “unwavering support for the security and sovereignty of Qatar and its commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.”

International media outlets have closely followed the Summit noting its significance in reshaping alliances within the islamic world.Pakistan contribution was seen as constructive and future-oriented,positioning Islamabad as a key diplomatic player.
